Our HDH Family and updates

We are privileged to meet many incredible individuals and families navigating the challenges of a medical diagnosis, lengthy hospital stays, frequent medical visits, and all the complexities that come along with them. Our mission is to serve as a supportive network through our "Gifts from the Heart" baskets, while also providing an avenue for them to share their stories, allowing us to listen, encourage, and uplift them during tough times. Additionally, we aim to amplify their voices so that a wider community of support can emerge, filled with prayers, encouragement, and individuals who have faced similar challenges and can share their experiences. We invite you to read these heartfelt stories of those we have helped who become part of our HDH Family and also come back for updates. Our efforts would not be possible without our extraordinary donors; if you would like to make a one-time donation or become a monthly supporter, please click the link below. Thank you for your generosity!

Update from Walkers family

A ‘Celebration of Life’ service will be held on January 29th at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando for our son, Walker Gray McKnight, who passed away peacefully on December 31st, 2024. He was 25 and died due to organ failure from a double lung and kidney transplant in 2022. The service is open to all who care to celebrate his life. His life was a joy, a tragedy, and a finally a triumph of faith filled with uncommon courage in his will to live. He loved his family and his friends with an open heart that took great pride in their successes and lifted their spirits in times of trouble. His life, while cut short due to medical illnesses, touched many people as they witnessed his strength of character and love for life through extraordinary medical trauma.
